Poem – The Wild Labor Day Weekend

Poem – The Wild Labor Day Weekend

Thousands of people stranded ankle deep in mud.
Waves crashing on the minds of men and land in a thud.
Last night I celebrated the life of a singer with his songs.
With margaritas that can magically make right the wrongs.
Those that used to live with a golden spoon.
Are becoming a pariah living in a desert dune.
Seems the tides are turning in a big way.
Those that believe that they can forever manipulate and sway.
Learn the lesson that always will come.
That in the end such souls will have nowhere to run.
