Poem – What is Love?

Is love an empty feeling that some feel inside?
When circumstances change, and someone says goodbye?
While love is a word that holds so much.
No language actually gives it enough depth and touch.

We love when we feel seen and heard.
We love when being with them allows us to feel free as a bird.
Love is a voice that gives a soothing touch.
Love is a place where our heart does not clutch.

We love another when being with them is easy and smooth.
Love allows us to feel pain and at the same time to soothe.
Love carries us forward when all seems lost.
Love is always the answer no matter what the cost.
