I am off to the magical coast once again with another friend. This year has been a whirlwind to visitors, travel, and sharing adventures with others.

After this current visitor I look forward to the family events arising for the holiday and then a more peaceful and quiet space to regroup, drop-in, and to write in the quiet and solitude of the rainy season in Northern California.

It is wonderful to share time in a kitchen with another woman. Discovering new menus and things to cook. It is so much easier to cook for a group of three rather than oneself. And others have ideas that often would not necessarily cross my mind.

So far, we have made homemade hummus from dried garbanzo beans, black bean burgers, a lovely new Dahl recipe with lentils and rice, chocolate chip cookie brownies, a new muffin recipe, and olive tapenade. I am sure there is more to come. We must go to the grocery store on the way home from the coast.

There are many more yummy and healthy things to discover.

But today, we are off to the coast to touch the ocean and to connect to the earth.
