Suzanne’s Personal Quote and Blog for 9/7/2022

Quote

The rains christened us all day in the Wicklow Mountains.

We walked through the graveyards of the Abby and the ruins of the graceful landscape.

The lichens clung to the stones eating away at the dates and names of those ancient souls from long ago.

Making them invisible yet memorable in the backdrops of the spires and walls without ceilings.

The lochs were pristine and crystal clear as we looked at the waterfall in the distance pouring down into the dappled lake.

Blog

Thank you everyone for being patient in this process of adjusting to the time change. And trying to get these daily blogs out.

I woke up this morning late … realizing I had slept 10 hours.

Almost did not make it to the driver in time to go to the Wicklow Mountains.

I leaped out of bed and had no time to do the blog for today.

But I had a grand day even in the pouring rain and as we traveled along the narrow roads to see the sights and castles, I listened to the driver’s tales and stories and realized that this was much like my family temperament and flow.

My family were a band of irregular and irreverent storytellers, and you can see that same trend even in me.

One of the drivers’ stories brought me to another story and we bounced them back and forth in great joy, laughter, and sharing.

Once we arrived back, we had a package waiting for us and it was two Aran Merino Wool Throws that I am guessing are from the travel agency. I am still trying to figure out who they are from. But they are lovely and I will enjoy them.

We are off to Belfast tomorrow with some stops along the way.

Thank you for listening.
