Blog for 8/18/2023 – A Magical Birthday

On my birthday, the 16th of August, my husband and I had a perfect day. We started by exploring hidden beaches and allowing the mists of the coast to envelop us as we walked along the empty strand. I love the rock formations that are out in the ocean and the sounds of the soaring seabirds over the crashing of waves. There are so many beautiful spots on this planet, and staying in one place for too long is a tragedy when just around corners and a few miles away, can be wonderful things and such magic.

Then for dinner, he took me to a 5-star hotel on an old farm in the middle of nowhere and had a magnificent dinner. The space was so empty after the high season, and it was mid-week that we had an entire area to ourselves, complete with a fireplace, sofas, and a magical modern Stonehenge out front marking the seasons of change.

For me, it was a perfect Leo birthday. Sometimes I just need to be pampered and made to feel special. This one did it! Especially where I live, there are barely any restaurants, much less a 5-star restaurant.

With us being at the lovely house with the ocean view for three days, it was the perfect ending to a magical birthday.

I hope everyone gets one of these special birthdays in a lifetime.

For me, I need and crave quiet and a natural environment. I long for extended periods of time with no agenda and just to walk hand in hand, enjoying the moment and the presence of the ones I love.
