Many things interest me about this pattern for the month of May 2025. Let’s take an honest look and see if we can find a pattern that will help us make sense out of it all.
Point 1: The Pope in the Catholic Church (a good man) died at the end of April and we have the symbol of the pope, The Hierophant in the cards. This card is an indication of the intentional abuse of women for thousands of years and how religion manipulates the words of great teachers in order to control the people, subvert the sexuality of the masses, and take the voices away from the common man. This card places the abuse of some religions in the limelight.
Point 2: Art shows up significantly in the astrology for May and it shows up here as well. Art is where rebellion is forced to go when the voices of the people are muzzled. Art is the ultimate expression of freedom in our world. Music is a call to action and inspiration. Dance gives permission to the sensuality and sexuality of the human species that is intentionally suppressed by governments and religions because they have learned that when you can suppress a person’s passion … you can control that flow of energy of that person into the way that they deem important. Art is the right brain and the intuitive mind in action in our world. It gives us inspiration and insights that then can inform our left brain so that we can construct things in the external world that eventually can matter.
Point 3: The Oppression card is significant especially in combination with the Woman of Shields and the Justice card. This is the story of the character Ayla, in the book, The Clan of the Cave Bear. That character experiences what the feminine in America is currently experiencing. It shows the stripping away of rights for women, the abuse of women, and how it is time for women to take back what was intentionally and criminally taken from them.
Point 4: The Antelope is all about taking action and knowing what to do and then doing it. Seems that there is going to be a lot of actions being taken and activated.
The cards this month are a mismatch of feelings experiences and emotions. It seems that it is only through expressing the complex diversity of those emotions that we might discover an elusive path through these brambles.
The cards show that through embracing (fully) our sorrow, grief, and loss that we will reclaim hope.
Through seemingly impossible effort we will rebuild something anew.
Through patience we will find perseverance.
But through it all, we will need to know when to stop and rest so we can reclaim our center and tap into source which is attempting to give us great energy and sustenance in this time of restriction.
What is clear is that in these cards, we will have to resolve the divides in our world by experiencing them on a deeply personal level. And that process is going to be difficult, trying, and filled with hardships.
This month is a map and a warning of what is coming. There will be things that cannot be avoided or softened. It is a trial by fire. It is a pattern that intends to put us through a gauntlet. There is no avoiding it and there is no going back. The only path is forward. In such moments, being willing to choose to leap … is way better than being dragged through the brambles kicking and screaming.
This month, put on some gloves and prepare for anything and everything. We may not know what is exactly coming but all the psychic and astrological indications are that it is coming. We may not be able to cover all the bases, but we at least can be prepared and on alert. Knowing when to move and how to move will still put you ahead of most.
