1 + 4 = 5

The number 5 is a healing day. For some that means to take a bit of extra time for oneself and do those things that allow you to regroup, refresh, and revive. There will always be one more thing to do. There will always be another project that needs your help or assistance. But in life the greatest lesson I have learned is on how to take care of myself, listen to my body, give my body what it needs instead of overriding it, and to embrace time off and rest. We live in a world that wants to keep us stimulated and responding to our phones, our computers, the news, etc. But living from constant reaction depletes our reserves very quickly.
Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing.
Sit with the cat on your lap and let the soothing purrs of that animal reset your nervous system. Or go for a walk with the dog and remember how joy feels by watching that dog bounce around, exploring, playing, and leaping into the pond.
Life is going to be too short for some and not long enough for others. Best to generate memories that are so filled with joy that they make you smile in the worst of times.
