8/2/2024 is the number 18
8 + 2 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 4 = 18

1 + 8 = 9

The number 9 allows us to begin to celebrate the resolution or completion of something. Too often we celebrate beginnings, but we are less certain of celebrating endings. But today is a day to do just that.

Take a look at where you were six months ago. Remember, the feelings, the concerns, the upsets and challenges that you faced. Now, look at what you have managed to accomplish in those 6 months. It is quite astounding!

See how much the effort has paid off. And congratulate yourself on the tremendous effort that it took but that you kept going and now can reap the rewards.

But no celebration would be complete without including others and sharing your creation with others. That means it is time for a party of sorts. I know that Labor Day is a ways away, but we don’t need a national holiday to celebrate your personal journey.

The sun is bright in the sky and the mood has clearly shifted on many levels. How about bringing others into the mix and having some time to feast and share stories of our journey with those we love? Just because!

The older one gets the more we recognize how precious time is. Celebrating just for the sake of it, is not just a good thing … it can be a glorious thing!

But to do that, we will need a plan. If you are really spontaneous, then that plan could come together this weekend. But if not, plan another time that works for everyone. Without a bit of a plan and putting it into play, the summer might escape you and you will miss a golden opportunity.
