Today we move from east to west. The number 6 is the number that asks us to look at the setting sun, to feel the passing of time, and to realize that tomorrow is not promised.

The number 6 reminds us that eventually the mind matures beyond requiring money, power, and fame. Once it does that, and a soul actually has enough … the only thing left to do is to do the deeper inner spiritual work.

In Asian countries, they have temples and monuments where daily … the people bring their aging parents to them for spiritual prayer. In these places, the elderly can meditate together.

There is a cultural understanding that as time winds down for each soul, that is the moment to bring one’s awareness into the highest vibrations possible. Meditation, prayer, mantras, poojas, and the spinning of the prayer wheels is not just a practical solution but one that gives relief from the karmic challenges in this life and shows the paths to freedom by surrendering up our old self and embracing who and what is inside when we let go of our own suffering and break through with awareness to see our own karma.
