Today the number 2 and we look to what might be past our ego and into our essence.

In this reality we are here to embrace the duality of ourselves that is reflected in this world. We are light and dark. We have good and the potential for evil within. We are forever at a choice of how to embrace both and learn to have them work together.

This number is called the number of Negative Mind. And in our world, it was not acceptable to express that (until recent events) externally in the world. Now we live in a world where the genie is out of the bottle and the negative thoughts seem to be permissible in situations that even a few years ago would seem untenable.

It seems that now it is a moment that we are being asked to really look at our shadow and even show our negative mind and thoughts.

I believe that within the darkness of our shadow self, our negative aspects can become the greatest force of renewal and growth if we learn to embrace them fully.

I know that sounds difficult. I know that many of us cringe when that negative shows up in others.

But life is filled with moments that bring about qualities and presences within that are disturbing, awkward, and dark.

Within us are various inner demons that have taunted us, undermined us, and sabotaged us in a variety of ways.

We cannot heal those aspects by turning away from them. Instead, we have to allow them to be turned towards the light of the soul that they are so desperate to be a part of. Only in the light can the darkness find harmony and a place of purpose that the soul is seeking to express.

I believe negativity is born in those moments when we are ungenerous to ourselves. We lose balance when we do not take care of ourselves and instead only take care of others.

For a soul to grow we need turbulence, and anarchy. Growth comes from the unpredictable world of imagination.

Desperation comes from a soul that has become secretly weary and one that has lived a mechanical life and one that existed only on the surface.

Avoidance of the negative within us can become so chronic that it eventually becomes a sin against your soul. Such an expression is intended to suppress the wildness and creativity of your own soul.

All plants must grow up towards the light … while they also grow down into the darkness. That gives the planet substance, stability and the ability to survive. We are no different.

When one lives only from the mind, the light of analysis becomes too bright for the creative to flourish. The mind can literally burn away that imagination under the glare of needing to find value in the unknowable. That will burn the tender tissue of your soul and make you become a parched and barren person.

Today, embrace that negative within. Turn it towards the light and bring it back into feeling a sense of belonging. In that way, we will find the wholeness we seek.
