Today the number 8 shows us those places inside that are still seeking wholeness. We tend to suppress those aspects that we feel are less than acceptable either socially or culturally. But more often than not, our odd behaviors are stemming from various forms of suppression and then things come out in distorted ways that appear inauthentic to others.

The game is always authenticity. Being whole requires each of us to reconnect to what we pushed into the shadows. I find the older I get the more I just don’t have the energy to navigate those that hold so much ego in front of them … as a mask. It takes too much energy to tip-toe around their defenses and it usually takes more energy than it is worth.

Today, see if you have the self-awareness to notice if your behaviors make others walk around like they are on eggshells. Then decide to get to the root of what is causing that in your own behavior. Realize that it is often those hidden parts that have no other way to express themselves except through sabotage and shadow.

Maturity is marked in healthy ways when we have enough self-awareness to recognize our own dysfunction and choose to consciously shift it out of the shadows and into the loving and accepting embrace of our soul.
