Poem – Clowns in Crowns
I know many a soul that will demand a crown.
They do not know that wearing it … they look like a clown.
Especially when they tell everyone that it is made gold.
But it is just money that was painted over something terrible and very old.
The hurt and wounding that they hold deep inside.
Is such an embarrassment to their ego and pride.
That they tell lies of how they deserved this crown.
When all they did was steal from others and break things down.
Some will always believe in those lies.
Because many cannot see through their intended disguise.
But some crowns will melt in the heat of the sun.
Because false gods are stupid and never know when to run.
And as that crown dissolves away.
No one will feel any dismay.
