Poem – Egos and Wisdom

Egos need to make us agree with them.
Egos see everything as a game to win.
Egos judge, ridicule, and blame.
Egos point fingers and want to collapse others in shame.

Egos need to be right to prove that they are smart.
Egos do not realize that that need keeps them apart.
Egos try to persuade others to their cause.
Egos can’t stop talking or even take a pause.

That is because egos are really paralyzing fear in disguise.
Egos want importance but do not care about being wise.
That is because wisdom is open to question and learn.

Wisdom would not say things that would cause others to burn.

Wisdom seeks to understand more than to know.
Wisdom knows that regardless truth will always flow.
Wisdom is the teacher and knows the way through.
Wisdom is a dog that is always faithful and true.
