Poem – Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

Have you listened to the voices,

Coming off the winds of the glaciers?
This glacial lake, is birthing new souls,
They whisper and wail for life and fulfillment.
Lake Tekapo waters so milky white,
Warm like the heartbeat of the wild forces,
That are merging of the snow with the land.
The forceful breath of new life refreshes and heals.
It’s song so softly deafening … that the minds
Of mankind are hushed and reverent.
As the voices of humanity are swallowed,
Hope is reborn and your soul remembers,
How to become friend once again to oneself.
