Poem – Love is the Balm

Things are coming together and there are many forces at play.
I could not wish for an event to have a more beautiful day.

With love in my heart and a song in my throat.
I know that this moment is a powerful antidote.

Love is a balm that heals the soul.
Passion is a bond that makes us whole.

Weddings are a moment to see that our decisions.
Are there to help us become our visions.

Celebrate life while time continues to tick away.
Do not avoid all the feelings or forget that this too is a ballet.

Life will continue on but the commitment of this moment will remain.
Love is the salve that helps us through all the stress and strain.

So, gather in as much joy and love as you can hold.
Because way too soon we will all be very old.

But what will remain is that look in each other’s eyes.
That is a love that is true and can never be disguised.
