Poem – Puddles are Calling You to Play

Another atmospheric river is flowing our way.
The winds have changed, and I await this watery buffet.
Without the rains the forest cannot thrive.
We need more rain for the tadpoles to survive.

I like the power of the storms.
I love to watch the weather as it performs.
The winds take the water and they dance in the air.
While I look out the window, warm in my chair.

The winds clear the air and sweep through the trees.
And inside my soul something drops into ease.
My mind needs the storms to clear my thoughts.
While I surrender into the fact that God is calling the shots.

Without the rains to calm and cool.
I think humanity could be even more cruel.
Allow this moment to take you away.
Because puddles are calling you to come and play.
