Poem – The Youthfulness Of Art

There are those that cannot bear to silence the heart.

Mankind is suffering and that is no place to start.
In the quiet of the early morning before the sun is up.
Artist’s wake to a peaceful world where their hearts know … it is enough.

We cannot help but to listen to the quiet.
It is the only time that the mind is not a riot.
In those silences between light and life.
Are where the answers can be found to stop the strife.

Poets hear the rhythms that sing in their minds.
Musicians listen to the sounds and long for the sublime.
Inventors tap into what is going to be needed soon.
And writers awake to dreams that make them swoon.

When it is darkest … is where artists thrive.
They understand that the darkness is alive.
So, they sit and wait for that inspiration to come.
Because that is how they rekindle their heart to be very young.
