Poem – Nature Deserves My Energy and Time

 

Nature deserves my energy and time.

She wakes me up and helps me reclaim what is mine.

She shows me the world with the diverse colors in the sky.

She will be with me until the day I die.

 

I have learned to listen to the nature within my core.

I try to pay attention to the whispers and never ignore.

Because she hints at the choices that lie ahead.

If I can just remember to get up and out of bed.

 

We think we know how this life will go.

But she is wiser than humanity can ever know.

She cares for all in her forests and glens.

She knows that her rains enliven and cleanse.

 

She shows that life is more than a chore.

It is a process that the mind cannot ignore.

And that is why today look outside.
Then open your heart … very wide.

 

Because tomorrow may not come, and you might miss the view.
Days are not guaranteed so look with eyes brand-new.
The colors in the sky can carry you away.
So, embrace this life and make it into a wonderful ballet.
