Poem – Dance and Death

Poem –Dance and Death

Death said to Dance
Come and dance with me.
Let your spirit fly beyond
this moment in time.

Dance said to Death
I am not afraid as I have already been there.
While you were waiting for others
I tasted the cold of the tomb.

Death asked Dance
What did you taste?
And how did it feel?
Did you feel any regrets?

Dance replied,
The tears of regret were like a fine wine.
The stone smelled of perfume from another time.
And the dew continued to melt the thoughts away.

Dance continued,
I learned how to fly … a long ago.
I fear no change because my soul already knows.
I suffer no doubts as each moment becomes a new form.

You believe you are the freedom from the suffering and pain.
But I am the doorway that is about transition and change.
You believe you are the exit door to this life.
But I am the entrance into the potential of has been forgotten.
