Poem – The Dark Side of Helen of Troy

The Gods and Goddesses like to play games.

They like to take what is good and make it strange.

They make marriages and then tear them apart.

They make two people fall in love from the start.

That is when all hell breaks loose.

And Aries the War God decides to fight with Zeus.

Mankind becomes the pawns in their fields of war.

And all that was beautiful becomes something to deplore.

But look very close and you will see.

That what once was may no longer be.

Because Aries replaced Helen with a beast.

And now what was peace … will forever cease.
