Poem – What People Believe

What people believe, they think will save their soul.

From the harsh realities that they perpetually told.

What someone believes … while it is an anchor in a storm.

Will not save anyone from the words that the mind deformed.

We think that while we fervently pray.

That all those that we did betray.

Will not cause us consequences that will follow us through time.

Because karma listens and knows our rhythms and rhymes.

It waits for that moment when we are weakened by this life.

And it will break us down with our own conflict and strife.
