Suzanne’s Personal Poem for 12/25/2022

 

Poem – Coming Together is Sacred

 

It’s Christmas day and for the very first time.

It is so quiet that we have lots of time.

For the first time in many years.

I do not have to reeve up my gears.

We will be hosted at another’s home

And all I have to do is be the pie gnome.

Pecan and pumpkin are on the menu.

Nothing like going to another venue.

It will be exciting to engage with someone new.

Expand and listen to others with a different view.

I hope everyone has a wonderful gathering today.

So safe travels along all the beltways.

Remember, that coming together is a sacred scene.

One filled with lots of love and fabulous cuisine.

But it is a time to engage and share, laugh and care.

Just don’t forget to de-ice that stair.

I wish everyone a magical exchange.

Healing and hope as we all rearrange.

The New Year is coming just around the bend.

May it be filled with new joys and great new friends.
