Mercury Retrogrades in 2023 – Safety is the Key

 

This year, most of the Mercury retrogrades are in earth signs.
Our focus is on our ambition, our things, and those pieces that give us a sense of safety and continuity. This impacts our understanding and connection to money, savings, and how we will need to adjust to a changing global financial structure.

 

The Mercury in Capricorn at the beginning of the year will repeat at the end of 2023. Know that things that arise at the beginning of this year will need to be re-evaluated once again at the end of the year. You will have a chance to do a cosmic redo if you are open and willing to go into new areas. Learn the lessons early so you can coast at the end of the year.

 

This year will feel as if we are quickly going to be pulling off some Band-Aids. It can feel shocking and painful. But it is time for old wounds to get some air and to be cleaned up so we can stop focusing on our past and instead see the scars that we have acquired and take pride in the fact that we have come through a war with only a few souvenirs.

 

The Mercury retrograde in January

 

As the year starts up, we are in a Mercury retrograde in Capricorn. It ends on the 18^th of January. Yes, it may feel hard to get going at the beginning of the year but once it does, there will be no holding back. Best to enjoy the pause while it lasts. Take the time to rest and recharge because you are going to need it. Keep things calm and the tone casual.

 

April 21-May 14 – Mercury retrograde in Taurus

 

Money is the key, and the stress of the financial markets can get to us in ways that we suddenly do not feel safe. The lesson here is on setting a budget in place and then sticking to it.

Remember to not over do because if certain energies are not reciprocated then you will need to make some new boundaries and step away from situations.

 

August 23-Sept 15 – Mercury retrograde in Virgo

 

Stress will be the problem here. Too much mutability in the midst of so much change can cause anxiety, and restlessness. Big decisions will come to a head and actions will need to be taken. Emotions run high and others will be grasping for what they believe will help give them the stability that they are currently lacking.

 

December 13-January 1, 2024 – Mercury retrograde in Capricorn

 

This holiday season will seem to call for solitude rather than socializing. While Mercury will back up into Sagittarius temporarily and Sagittarius loves a trip, the retrograde warns that weather may not cooperate or there will be delays and missed connections.

Expect the unexpected and plan for all options and you will be fine.
