Numerology/Astrology for 7/16/18
7/16/18 is the number 7. The number 7 reminds you that there are moments when what is going to help the most in the progression of your life and becoming who you are is a persistence of purpose. The number 7 is all about having connection between your mind and your intuition. The best balance in life is always about balance in mind, body, and spirit. When you are in touch with all parts of yourself and you have the discernment to move fluidly through all those perspectives with a calm mind that can analyze the information and come up with a plane that will best serve, then you have a functioning consciousness that can manifest in the physical world and also move towards enlightened spiritual awareness. The ability to be thoughtful, contemplative, determined, and a knowledge seeking individual moves you towards becoming skilled enough to master certain areas of life and then become successful. You have to do the work to get the rewards in life. Today, you know what you need to do and what you have been avoiding. It takes a lot of energy to constantly avoid what needs to get done. Instead just do what needs to be done. It will make you happy to complete and succeed.

Astrology Today
Again, for those of you with a lot of Leo/Aquarius, Cancer/Capricorn energy in your charts, you might want to check your computers for viruses before this Mercury Retrograde. We are coming into the tumultaneous waters of the end of this month and it is like you are on a boat caught between crashing waves and two cliffs. A Mercury-Pluto quincunx today can point to some tensions. Know that how you communicate, may trigger hostility, negative feedback, or power struggles. Being calm, cool, and objective is going to be difficult and you may be revisiting some past choices that now seem a disaster. And from that realization you are going to have to adjust your plans. Expect to second-guess others and your own mind.
Venus and Ceres align in the sign of Virgo later today. This many help you help others and serve their needs if you can keep your mouth shut and not engage what you know will trigger many. Focus on what makes you happy and what things help you feel connected, natural, and at ease. It is time to nurture and support the people that mean the most to you in your life.
The Moon spends the day in Virgo. Keep paying attention to the details that need to be handled in a timely fashion.

Quote
If you want to change the world,
start off by making your bed.
~William H. McRaven~
Blog
I love this quote for its simplicity and honesty. In living my life and looking at the world, I have noticed that so many people want to have wealth, fame, power, etc. But those things require a huge attention to detail and the ability to juggle many things at once in a highly organized and competent manner.
If you can’t do something as simple, as consistently making your own bed, you will not have the internal discipline to do many more complex things as you grow up.
Childhood is about learning the tools and skills that you will need in order to navigate your life and world.
Sometimes those that are the most highly organized and skilled don’t have the fame and fortune. My examples are farmers and ranchers.
Such lives require a great deal of skill and organization. Without having great timing, intuition, organization, ability to fix things on the fly, work well with others, and have the discipline to go out and do what needs to get done over and over again, you cannot be successful.
People always comment on how consistent I am with this blog and putting things out in the world. I have to give the credit to my dancing days and the fact that you have ballet class every day, at the same time, and the sequences of a ballet life have an almost military rigidity and structure to them.
You cannot show up late to a performance when you are the main dancer.
You cannot not have your shoes ready and prepared.
You can’t forget your choreography.
You can’t not practice and practice to get it just right.
You can’t not take care of your body because your body is your temple and without it you have nothing.
I hear so many people say, “I can’t do a full-time job and do my dream. If the universe really wants me to do it, then it needs to give me the money, so I don’t have to work.” When I hear that I just laugh. That is not how the universe works at all.
The universe is always testing you. It constantly asks the question, “Do you want this bad enough to do whatever it takes to get it done? Do you have to passion that is going to be required to see this completely through or are you going to quit when it gets difficult?”
The universe checks and tests to see if you are worthy, over and over again. And that is reflected in the many myths, legends, and stories to remind us that this is going to happen consistently.
You have to be worthy of the gifts.
You have to work towards your own greatness.
You have to want it badly enough to reach out of comfort and into those scary places where you question yourself and your worthiness.
Because of my inner discipline that I was able to do a full-time job and write two books within 6 months, financially hold a home together while my husband took a break from working, pay for the editor and printing of the books, market them, teach classes, and find bliss and great joy in that journey.
I am grateful for that ability to seek out the structures that could get me to my goal. And I have been very good at just doing what needs to be done with minimal resistance.
You cannot dance on a stage and be glorious if you are uptight and in resistance. Dance (by its inherent nature) is about showing the joy of surrender, having great skill, controlled power, determined strength, and the beauty of grace.
What would happen today if you just got out of your own way?
What would happen if you stopped resisting this beautiful life? What would happen if you just let go and surrendered into what just needs to be done? How much more fun would life be without the constant fighting and resisting what is being presented in your world?
It is your life. Work it.
It is your potential. Find it.
It is your energy. Use it.
