The Number 4 calls to a calmer way of being. With the world spinning in radically accelerated ways, humanity feels pushed and up against new edges that are scary just because they are so unfamiliar.
This number 4 tries to soothe the savage beasts inside and outside in our world. Remember that it is not what is happening … that is the problem. It is our reaction and responses that become the problem.
Too often we think that if we push back with anger and frustration that we will feel powerful instead of powerless. Situations though are often very different than what we see and what is being projected.
That is why with this number 4 we are looking for a more neutral perspective. We need less reaction and more consistent action. Action looks like not giving up but taking smart steps in the directions that will give us outcomes that are more in alignment with our values.
This number 4 knows that a calm mind makes better decisions than one under stress.
Just like in a pot of boiling water, one cannot see one’s reflection, so too we cannot see what we need when we are triggered and angry.
Today, try to let the pot cool and learn to have the mind calm down the emotional body with the agenda and intent to find a solution rather than to keep stirring the pot and making waves. There are enough problems in the world. We do not need more warriors. We need those that can see the pathways through the storms and can lead others to that place of clarity and calm resolve.
