2 + 0 = 2

Today is a number 2 day. The number 2 is called the number of Negative Mind or Critical Mind. We have to take an objective look at things and evaluate them from a more rational perspective. It is good to keep the emotions to the side and our biases out of the focus for today. We need a cool mind that sees the facts clearly. Those may not be what you want to see but it is what needs to happen.
Notice that the mind just loves to find fault and find a problem, even if there might not be one currently. Conflicts allow us to feel alive. Too often, we create problems in order to masterfully solve them. We feel as if we have personal value and that our abilities and ideas matter.
I have watched highly successful people with wealth and power, actively create dramas to feel alive. But their problems seem minor compared to those out there in the world really suffering. Yet, they can make their problems seem like the end to the world.
And my mind marvels at the ridiculousness of their perspectives even though I know that to them they feel very real.
The mind will love to point out potential problems often to stop us from taking risks. That allows us to contract in fear rather than embrace moments of change fearlessly.
Today, notice what stops you from trying new things. Then decide if the fear being presented by the mind is real. Then ask if the potential good of such an action might outweigh the bad.
Without risk. Life would be boring and dull. Without courage, we will never learn to trust ourselves.
Today, have the courage and the willingness to move past the conversations in the mind. Discover that who we are is more than we perceive in this moment. Let your potential out and give some things a try.
Know that you will fail a few times, but you will probably succeed more often than you believe.
And that is the gift in trying.
